Itinerary
Around 06:00: Pick-up service for guests within the 3rd Ring Road.
07:00: Assemble at the meeting point.
Around 07:30: Departure. (During holidays or peak season, pick-up and departure times may be approximately 30 minutes earlier. Thank you for your understanding!)
07:30: Assemble and depart from Chengdu Federation of Literary and Art Circles Building. (Exact time and location are subject to SMS notification!)
Around 08:00: Arrive at the Giant Panda Base.
Take the scenic area sightseeing bus (30 RMB/person) and electronic audio guide (15 RMB/person) at your own expense.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
The base is home to giant pandas, red pandas, black-necked cranes, white cranes, geese, black swans, wild geese, mandarin ducks, peacocks, and other animals year-round. Within the base's artificial ecological vegetation, which consists of more than 300 species of higher plants from 68 families, over 90 species of wild birds from 29 families inhabit. The base also provides visitors with a modern, interactive learning experience. Through these educational exhibition areas, you will gradually understand the depth of the base's research work, as well as our commitment and efforts to help endangered species survive in a world dominated by human threats.
Around 10:00: Depart for Dujiangyan via Cheng-Guo or Cheng-Qing Expressway.
Around 11:30: Arrive in Dujiangyan urban area.
Around 12:00: Proceed to the designated restaurant for lunch.
Around 13:00: Arrive in Dujiangyan urban area.
Drive past the new town rebuilt by Shanghai after the 5.12 Earthquake.
Enter Guanxian Ancient City, themed on "Water as the Soul, Culture as the Vein, Commerce as the Path, and Tourism as the Foundation".
Transfer to the ancient city sightseeing bus (10 RMB/person, at your own expense) through Guancheng Ancient Street.
Cross the South Bridge to enter Dujiangyan Scenic Area and arrive at Lidui Park.
Visit the top garden in western Sichuan: Qingxi Garden, Yangong Road, the 卧铁 (Sleeping Iron), Zhang Song Ginkgo (the Ginseng Fruit Tree from Journey to the West), and Fulong Temple.
Then visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, the first ancient weir in China built by Li Bing, the governor of Shu during the reign of King Zhaoxiang of Qin (227 BC) on the Minjiang River, and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Explore the Baopingkou Inlet, Feishayan Spillway.
Take a one-way sightseeing bus (10 RMB/person, at your own expense) to the Yuzui Dyke.
Cross the Anlan Suspension Bridge.
View the Qinyan Tower, damaged in the 5.12 Earthquake, and the Two Kings Temple, commemorating Li Bing and his son, across the inner Minjiang River.
Climb the Yulei Pavilion escalator (40 RMB/person, at your own expense) for a panoramic view of Dujiangyan.
Around 16:00: Return to Chengdu by tour bus.
Around 18:00: Tour concludes near Qintai Road, Chengdu. End of the pleasant journey!

Price Includes
Transportation: Air-conditioned tour bus with one assigned seat per person (seat requests cannot be accommodated). For individual travelers, a complimentary van pick-up within Chengdu's 3rd Ring Road is provided without a tour guide. The group will disband near a subway station, and return transfer is not included. The bus size will be determined by the final number of participants to ensure one seat per person. Vehicle model or seat preferences cannot be guaranteed. Travelers may be on different vehicles during the trip. Due to mileage restrictions, road maintenance, or potential traffic congestion, departure times are early. All stated departure and travel times are estimates and subject to slight changes.
Meals: 1 set lunch at 30 RMB/person. Standard: 10 people per table, 8 dishes + 1 soup (dishes and portions will be reduced proportionally if fewer people; no refund for unused meals).
Entrance Fees: Adult tickets include Dujiangyan + Chengdu Panda Base. (Note: Ticket discounts: according to the agreement between our agency and the scenic spots, a total refund of 20 RMB/person (10 for Dujiangyan, 10 for Panda Base) for half-price tickets; a total refund of 40 RMB/person (20 for Dujiangyan, 20 for Panda Base) for free tickets. Shanghai tourists with ID cards receive a total discount refund of 20 RMB for both sites.)
Guide Service: Licensed Chinese-speaking tour guide.
Insurance: 1 travel accident insurance policy per person, with a coverage of 100,000 RMB.
Children (0–12 years old): Includes bus seat, half meal, and guide service.
For children over 12 years old who wish to be charged at the child rate, an additional 20 RMB meal fee difference is required. Thank you for your understanding! Most children over 12 are already over the height limit for child tickets, so it is recommended that guests register as adults to avoid delays caused by queuing for tickets on-site.
Note: According to relevant regulations of the transportation management department, all children, regardless of age, must occupy a seat when traveling in a group! Please inform the travel agency if you are traveling with a child when booking. In case of concealment, the driver has the right to refuse driving due to overloading and may charge corresponding losses (e.g., vehicle fees) before asking the guest to disembark!
Price Excludes
Long-distance Transportation: Round-trip transportation to/from Chengdu, flight insurance, and transfers to/from stations/airports in your hometown.
Child Fees: Entrance fees and other optional expenses for children (additional payment required if applicable).
Optional Site Transportation & Services: Panda Base sightseeing bus (30 RMB/person); Dujiangyan parking lot to scenic area battery car (ancient city sightseeing bus) (10 RMB/person); in-scenic area sightseeing bus (10 RMB/person); Yulei Pavilion escalator (40 RMB/person). Excludes Dujiangyan earphone guide + Panda Base audio guide (40 RMB/person).
Other Personal Expenses: Personal consumption (e.g., hotel charges, expenses during free time), meals not specified in the itinerary, in your hometown, accommodation and meals in Chengdu; additional expenses caused by force majeure, such as traffic delays, strikes, weather conditions, aircraft mechanical failures, flight cancellations, or schedule changes.
